We can have some fun when playing with scale, especially if you have some lens options in your pack.
In this case the first picture was taken with a Tokina 11-16 f2.8 wide angle. We can see how wide lenses highlights the landscape and exaggerate the proportion of elements.
The second photo was taken in the same point of view with a Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.4. The proportions is remaining more faithful according to human eye, without distortions and aberrations. Both are interesting results, depending of what you are looking for. Actually, scale can be tricky or fun, according with your gear.
